|This Spotmatic F is new to me and is meant to be fully working however the meter isn't working properly. When I put a battery in (tried three different types all supposedly compatible) the meter needle just shoots up as high as it goes and stays there regardless of how much light there is, shutter speed, ISO and aperture etc. It just remains at the plus sign until I remove the battery.
Just wondered if anyone has an idea of what could be wrong with it? The seller is happy to give me a partial refund and let me keep the camera which I will take, but I wonder if there is anything I can do to fix it myself rather than taking it for repair? Got it very cheap and sold the lens it came with to make it even cheaper, so it really isn't worth me sending it back as I will have ended up paying around £20 for it and it is in excellent condition aside from this issue which is apparently new. Could it be to do with the lens somehow?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
